This is a family run organisation. The Kaumaya family originate from the island of Mauritius and have three family members working as directors in the business. Harvin Kaumaya is Managing Director of Sunset Travel Ltd and holding company, Hamish Kaumaya is the Founder and Managing Director of Travel-pa and Shamira Kaumaya is Product Director of Sunset’s overall operation. This means that as owner managers there is little red tape and a will to work effectively with a can-do approach. Over 40 staff members are employed in its fully owned corporate headquarters based in Croydon, Surrey. This is the company’s Sunset Faraway Holidays has been selling long-haul holidays to the trade (travel agents) since 1983 where it produced it's first Mauritius and Seychelles 8 page brochure. Now a well-established brand in the independent high street, its brochure is racked by over 600 agents to include Advantage Travel Centers, Global Travel agents, Hays Travel as well as many upmarket independent high street agencies. Sunset was one of the first companies to have a dedicated Indian Ocean brochure and remains a huge player to Mauritius, Maldives and The Seychelles.
